Façades of Dissonance

A contemporary dance theater performance. It examines the evolution of pain that manifests within individuals as complicated defense mechanisms, and in social systems as disconnection and violence. Significant to recent events in America, as well as to our world for millennia, it explores how violence, power, greed and other facades mask deep individual and communal pain. Themes explored in this piece are Fear, Defenses, Walls, Masks, Façades, Reality, Ripple Effects, Inner Layers, Individuality, Interconnectedness, and Healing in Nature.
